The Personal Training Account (CPF)

ThePersonal Training Account (CPF) allows individuals to accrue training credits that can be used throughout their working lives, from the moment they enter the workforce until retirement. It is intended for everyone and is available to all working people.  

On the official websitemoncompteformation.gouv.fr, each person has access to a secure personal account that allows them to:

  • to access information about themselves(for example: the credit balance in euros in their account) 
  • to obtain information about the training programs available to them through the Personal Training Account(training programs eligible under the Personal Training Account) 
  • to have a basic understanding of training funding 
  • to access digital services related to career guidance, such as the free Career Development Advisor (CEP) serviceat

The Career Transition Project (PTP)

The career transition program is a specific way to access thePersonal Training Account, allowing employeeswho wish to change careers or professions tofund certification-based training related to their career goals. Under this program, employees are entitled to time off and continued pay for the duration of the training.

The Work-Study Program – PRO-A

The PRO A program allows employees to change careers or advance in their current roles through training leading to a degree or professional certification, via awork-study program.

The PRO A program can be applied to a specific list of professional certifications eligible for PRO A, broken down by industry:

Public

The following employees are affected:

  • under a permanent employment contract (CDI) 
  • recipients of a single integration contract (CUI) with an indefinite term 
  • professional athletes or coaches with fixed-term employment contracts (CDD)
  • placed on short-time work

Terms and Conditions

To be eligible for this program, employees must not have attained a level of qualification attested by a professional certification listed in the National Directory of Professional Certifications (RNCP) and corresponding to a bachelor’s degree.

The Skills Development Plan

The Skills Development Plan enables employees to participate in training programs initiated by their employer to ensure they are well-suited for their jobs, maintain their skills, and contribute to the development of skills within the company.

This program listsall the training programs implementedby the employer for its employees, some of which are mandatory.

The concept of a training program has been simplified with a new definition: a training program is an educational pathway designed to help participants achieve a professional objective. It is now possible to conduct on-the-job training (AFEST), in addition to in-person training or training that is conducted entirely or partially online.
