The Personal Training Account – CPF

Thepersonal training account (CPF) allows individuals to acquire training rights that can be used throughout their working life, from the moment they enter the labor market until they retire. It is universal in scope and is intended for all working people.  

Each person has a secure personal space on the official websitemoncompteformation.gouv.fr, allowing them to:

  • access information concerning them(for example: the credit in euros recorded on their account) 
  • obtain information on training courses that he can take advantage of through his Personal Training Account(training courses eligible for the Personal Training Account) 
  • to have a basic level of information about training funding 
  • Access digital services related to career guidance, such as the free career development advisor (CEP) service

The Professional Transition Project – PTP

The professional transition project is a specific way of using thePersonal Training Account, allowing employeeswho wish to change jobs or professions tofinance certified training courses related to their project. In this context, employees are entitled to leave and continued remuneration for the duration of the training course.

Work-Study Promotion – PRO-A

The PRO A program enables employees to change jobs or receive a promotion through training aimed at obtaining a diploma or professional qualification, throughwork-study programs.

The PRO A scheme can be used for a specific list of professional certifications eligible for Pro-A by sector:

Public

This applies to employees:

  • on a permanent employment contract 
  • beneficiaries of a single open-ended integration contract (CUI) 
  • professional athletes or coaches on fixed-term employment contracts
  • placed on partial unemployment

Terms and Conditions

To be eligible for this program, employees must not have attained a level of qualification certified by a professional certification registered in the National Directory of Professional Certifications (RNCP) and corresponding to a bachelor's degree.

The Skills Development Plan

The Skills Development Plan enables employees to take part in training initiatives organized by their employer to ensure they are suited to their job, maintain their skills, and contribute to the development of skills within the company.

This system listsall training activities organizedby the employer for its employees, some of which are mandatory.

The concept of training has been simplified with a new definition: training is an educational program designed to achieve a professional goal. It is now possible to undertake training in the workplace (AFEST), in addition to face-to-face training or training that is conducted entirely or partially remotely.
