Validation of prior learning

Validation of prior learning is divided into 3 distinct systems:

VALIDATION OF ACQUIRED EXPERIENCE(VAE)

The aim is to obtain professional certification (diploma, professional title or certificate of professional qualification) by valorizing your professional experience.
You don't take any courses, but you do prepare a Livret II outlining your skills based on your experience.

Example : Claire has 5 years' professional experience as a department manager, she can apply for the Licence Professionnelle Management et gestion de rayon by VAE.

VALIDATION OF PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL EXPERIENCE (VAPP)

A system that gives access to a university course without the diploma normally required.

Example : a person with a BAC+2 and significant professional experience can apply for a VAPP with a view to enrolling in a Master's program.

VALIDATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION (VES)

A system that enables students to obtain all or part of a diploma thanks to the recognition of studies undertaken in France or abroad.

Example : Pascal holds several diplomas (DES TENNIS, PBJEPS, Diplôme d'entrainement Physique) and would like to obtain the Licence Entrainement Sportif.
