There are several training funding options available to job seekers, depending on their circumstances and goals.

The Personal Training Account (CPF)
ThePersonal Training Account (CPF) allows individuals to accumulate training credits that can be used throughout their working lives, from the moment they enter the workforce until retirement. It is designed for universal use and is intended for all working people.
On the official websitemoncompteformation.gouv.fr, each person has access to a secure personal account that allows them to:
- access information about themselves(for example: the balance in euros in their account)
- to obtain information about the training courses available to them through the Personal Training Account(training courses eligible under the Personal Training Account)
- to have a basic understanding of training funding
- to access digital services related to career guidance, such as the free Career Development Advisor (CEP) service

The Career Transition Program – PTP
The career transition program is a specific way to access thePersonal Training Account, allowing employeeswho wish to change careers or professions tofund certification-based training related to their career goals. Under this program, employees are entitled to time off and continued pay for the duration of the training.

Public
This training program is intended for young and adult job seekers who have been out of the school system for more than 24 months and have not participated in any training funded by the Region for at least one year.
The Occitanie-Pyrénées-Méditerranée Region and higher education institutions provide a subsidy toward the cost of the training. Trainees are required to pay a fee based on the level of training (ranging from €90 to €250 on average).

The Pros
Each year, the curriculum (ranging from the equivalent of a high school diploma to a Master’s degree) is designed in response to changes in the regional job market to meet the specific needs of the business community.
Thus, all of the training programs funded by the Region under the FORPRO SUP regional program are professional university-level programs that directly address the hiring needs of employers in the Region.
How to qualify
- Contact your Pôle Emploi advisor to discuss your training plan. They must approve it and issue you areferral.
- At the same time, you must apply for the training program and go through theselection process.
Compensation – Remuneration
- If youare receiving the Return to Work Allowance (ARE)from Pôle Emploi or your former public-sector employer, you may be eligible for the Return to Work Training Allowance (AREF) up to the limit of your entitlement to benefits.
- If you are not eligible for the Return to Work Allowance (ARE), you may, under certain conditions, receive public training compensation if the program is approved by the Regional Council. Contact the training organization to find out the eligibility requirements and, if applicable, to submit your application.

The Professional Training Contract
This employment contract is based on the principle ofwork-study programs; it enables participants to obtain a professional qualification or to supplement their initial training with an additional qualification in order to qualify for a specific position within the company.
Audiences
- Young people between the ages of 16 and 25 who have completed their initial training
- Job seekers aged 26 and older
- Recipients of the Active Solidarity Income (RSA), the Specific Solidarity Allowance (ASS), or the Allowance for Disabled Adults (AAH)
- Individuals who have benefited from a subsidized employment contract (Single Integration Contract – CUI)
Affected employers
All private-sector employers required to contribute to the funding of continuing vocational training, with the exception of the federal government, state and local governments, and their public administrative agencies.
Public industrial and commercial entities(such as the RATP, URSSAF, and the National Forestry Office) that are required to fund continuing vocational training, as well as maritime shipping companies, may enter into professional training contracts.

Steps for the employer

- Appoint a mentor within the company
- Sign the training agreement with SFC-UM and the CERFA EJ20 form with the work-study student
- Submit the funding application to your OPCO no later than 5 days after the contract’s start date. The OPCO has 20 days to issue a compliance notice and decide on financial coverage, then send the contract in digital format to the DREETS office in the location where the contract was signed. If no response is received within this timeframe, the OPCO will cover the costs of the contract.
- Submit a DUE form to URSSAF
Note: For candidates who are not nationals of the European Economic Area (EEA), it is the employer’s responsibility to verify the existence of supporting documents (residence permit, work authorization) before the start of the work-study contract.
