Validation of Professional and Personal Experience (VAPP)
VAPP (Validation des Acquis Personnels et Professionnels) is a system created in 1985, which enables you to enter a training course leading to a diploma, thanks to your experience, without having the diploma required for entry.
Public
Anyone with professional and/or volunteer experience relevant to the certification concerned:
- Have interrupted their studies for at least two years
- Being at least 20 years old for those who do not have the baccalauréat (except for top-level athletes)
Certifications accessible by VAPP
All our national diplomas (BUT, licence, licence professionnelle, master's, doctorate) are accessible via the VAPP.
Please note that :
- does not exempt from admission and/or selection procedures
- is valid for the chosen degree and academic year

Rate
50 € administration fee, non-refundable regardless of the outcome of your application.
Funding is generally provided on an individual basis. However, for employees, their employer may cover the cost as part of the overall training project.

VAPP application form
Would you like to follow a training course for which you don't have the required diploma? Send your detailed CV (tasks and skills) and cover letter to sfc-vapp@umontpellier.fr.
You will receive information about the VAPP scheme, access to the VAPP application form (Jotform) and the name of your manager.
4 commissions meet in: April, May, June and September.
The commissions study the requests and you will receive the agreement or refusal within 1 month.
Application form
Application formalities for the diploma applied for must be carried out in parallel with the VAPP application to the faculty, institute or school concerned.
