Validation of Professional and Personal Experience (VAPP)
VAPP (Validation of Personal and Professional Experience) is a program created in 1985 that allows you to enroll in a degree program based on your experience, without having to meet the usual entry requirements.
Public
Anyone with professional and/or volunteer experiencerelated to the certification sought:
- Having interrupted their studies for at least two years
- Be at least 20 years old for those who do not hold a high school diploma (with the exception of high-level athletes)
Certifications accessible through VAPP
All of our national degrees(BUT, bachelor's degree, professional bachelor's degree, master's degree, doctorate) are accessible through the VAPP.
Please note, validation:
- does not exempt from admission and/or selection procedures
- is valid for the degree and the chosen academic year

Price
€50corresponding to administrative fees, non-refundable regardless of the outcome of your application.
This process is generally funded individually. However, for employees, it may be covered by their employer as part of an overall training program.

The steps of the VAPP

Would you like to take a training course for which you do not have the required qualifications? Send yourdetailed resume (tasks and skills) andcover letterto sfc-vapp@umontpellier.fr.
You will receive information about the VAPP program and access to the online VAPP application form (Jotform), as well as the name of your case manager.
Four committees meet in April, May, June, and September.
The committees review applications, and you will receive approval or rejection within one month.
Application file
The application formalities forthe diplomamust be completed in parallelwith the VAPP application to the relevant faculty, institute, or school.

If a candidate fails a year of training, they must wait three years before they can apply for validation of their training.
