Make the most of your years of experience in a pharmacy: The DEUST Pharmacy Technician qualification is now open to VAE (validation of acquired experience).

The DEUST (Diploma of University Scientific and Technical Studies) Pharmacy Technician program is now accessible through Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE).

This VAE program allows professionals with significant experience in the pharmaceutical field to leverage the skills they have acquired in the field and thus obtain this degree without completing the full initial training program.

Thanks to VAE, candidates can have their expertise officially recognized, boost their employability, and access new career opportunities, while helping to meet the pharmaceutical sector's growing need for qualified personnel.

  2. Work in a multidisciplinary team and process information related to pharmaceutical activities.

  6. Acting responsibly within a professional organization.

Validation of Prior Learning

The Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE) allows you tovalidate all or part of a degree by presenting your skills gained throughexperienceto a panel.

You are not taking any classes: you are preparing a booklet outlining the skills you have acquired through your professional experience. These skills will enable you to validate the certification you are seeking, either in whole or in part.

You can receive assistance with writing your application and presenting it to the selection committee.

The profession of pharmacy technician

The pharmacy technician/preparer carries out their duties in a retail pharmacy, mutual pharmacy, or mining emergency pharmacy.

He can perform the following tasks:

  • Analysis of prescriptions or requests for health, dietary, cosmetic, and personal hygiene products
  • Dispensing requested health products and advising patients/customers
  • Inventory management
  • Participation in prevention, information, and vigilance of patients/clients
  • Customer service and sales
  • Administrative functions necessary for the reimbursement of drugs and equipment
  • Participation in the quality assurance process
  • Preparation, packaging, labeling, and pricing
