Make the most of your years of experience in a pharmacy: The DEUST in Pharmacy Technician is now open to the VAE
The DEUST (Diploma in Scientific and Technical University Studies) in Pharmacy Technician is now available through the Recognition of Prior Learning (VAE) program.
This e-learning program allows professionals with significant experience in the pharmaceutical field to leverage the skills they have acquired on the job and thus earn this degree without having to complete the full initial training program.
Through the VAE, candidates can have their skills officially recognized, enhance their employability, and gain access to new career opportunities, while helping to meet the pharmaceutical sector’s growing need for qualified personnel.

Objectives of the DEUST
- Manage the demand for pharmaceutical products and support patients in their care.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and process information related to pharmaceutical activities.

- Acting responsibly within a professional organization.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) allows you toearn credit for all or part of a degree by demonstrating the skills you have acquired through yourexperiencebefore a panel.
You are not taking any classes: you are preparing a portfolio that outlines the skills you have acquired through your professional experience. These skills allow you to earn the certification you are seeking—either in full or in part.
You can receive guidance on writing this paper and preparing for your oral defense.
The Role of a Pharmacy Technician
Pharmacy technicians perform their duties in retail pharmacies, mutual aid pharmacies, and mine emergency pharmacies.
He can perform the following tasks:
- Review of prescriptions or requests for health, dietary, cosmetic, and personal hygiene products
- Dispensing of requested health products and providing advice to patients/clients
- Inventory Management
- Participation in prevention, education, and patient/client monitoring
- Customer Service and Sales
- Administrative functions required for the reimbursement of medications and medical supplies
- Participation in the quality assurance process
- Preparation, Packaging, Labeling, and Pricing
