Certification of our aquaculture training programs by the Pôle Mer Méditerranée
The aquaculture courses offered by theUniversity of Montpellier’s Continuing Education Department have been awardedthe “Pôle Mer Méditerranée” certification.
This decision marks an important milestone and confirms that our training offerings are aligned with the strategic priorities of the Cluster, which is committed to supporting innovation, the competitiveness of industry sectors, and the transition to a sustainable blue economy.
Furthermore, this commitment is fully aligned with regional and national efforts aimed at strengthening a high-performing aquaculture sector that respects the environment and creates jobs and value.
The training programs covered by this certification
Two of our training programs have been certified:
- The University Diploma in Advanced Aquaculture, Aquariology, and Aquaponics, which trains professionals capable of working across the entire production chain, from farm management to controlling environmental parameters;
- The animal experimentation technician training program, which aims to teach best practices in ethics and animal welfare while developing the skills needed to work in a manner that respects animals and complies with current regulatory standards.
