Get trained in monitoring plant communities

The Faculty of Sciences atthe University of Montpellier has designed a new short course entitled "Introduction to plant community monitoring," which is primarily open to continuing education students.

This short course dedicated to monitoring plant communities is aimed at anyone who wishes to deepen their knowledge of ecology and ecosystem management.

OBJECTIVES

This training course aims to introduce participants to the methodologies used for monitoring plant communities. It offers an integrated approach combining theoretical teaching, fieldwork, and data analysis. Participants will be encouraged to reflect on ecological management issues while developing practical and analytical skills.

Training session

The short course "Introduction to Plant Community Monitoring" consists of 21 hours spread over 3 days, including:

  • 7 hours in class (theory)
  • 7 a.m. on the field at the Larzac Plateau
  • 7 hours of data analysis

A training session is planned for the current year:

  • June 16, 17, and 18, 2025
