Tutoring Training: Better Supporting the Success of Students Returning to School

Design and implementation of aninter-university training program on tutoringfor staff members of the Continuing Education Departments at the University of Montpellier,the University of Perpignan Via Domitia, andthe University of Montpellier Paul-Valéry.

On March 12 and 24, 2026, 15 staff members from these three universitiesparticipated in this in-persontraining program for tutors.

It is part ofthe inter-university“Support for Academic Success”initiative, led by the University of Perpignan Via Domitia in partnership with the University of Montpellier and the University of Montpellier Paul-Valéry, and funded by theOccitanie Region.

Theoretical input, workshop activities, practical case studies, and analyses were combined to enable participants to enhance and develop their skills in mentoring the groups they support, each from their respective roles within their institutions.

By the end of May 2026,two sessions of individualized coachingfocused on practical applicationandcase analysisare scheduled to take placevia video conferenceto round out thisunique training program.
