New Eco-Technician Training Program in the Cultural and Creative Industries of Film and Audiovisual Media
In light of current environmental challenges and in order to preserve the world of tomorrow, it is essential to educate and raise awareness among professionals in the audiovisual sector.
Offered bythe Montpellier-Sète University Institute of Technology (IUT), this university diploma program —"Eco-Technician in the Cultural and Creative Industries of Film and Audiovisual Media"— was developed in close collaboration withÉcole Travelling, the Ecocirculab Chair, and Sète Agglopole with the aim of reducing the environmental impact of audiovisual productions and supporting them in their ecological transition.
The goal of this training program is to engage all stakeholders in the sector in aneco-management initiative by providing them with the tools and methods
to take action in the film and audiovisual industries, and more broadly in the performing arts (festivals, etc.), as well as in the video game industry.

Target Skills
This university diploma combines theoretical and practical instruction to enable continuing education students to acquire the following key skills:
- Measuring the carbon footprint of a production process
- Assess the maturity level of management regarding decarbonization and the circular economy
- Identify the impacts as soon as the scenarios are reviewed and provide recommendations
