DAEU B Graduation Ceremony

Since the 1970s, the Continuing Education Department has been committed to helping those who have not followed the linear path from kindergarten to the lecture hall to obtain the equivalent of the baccalauréat and thus be able to pursue higher education. A total of 1,283 people have passed the Diplôme d'Accès aux Études Universitaires - science option - at our school.

On the occasion of the first DAEU B graduation ceremony on Monday, October 9, 2023, we are honoring the class of 2021-2022 in the presence of Mrs. Marie Castro, Vice-President of the Occitanie Region responsible for Vocational Training, Mrs. Agnès Fichard-Caroll, Vice-President of the University of Montpellier, Mrs. Laurence Weil, Director of the Continuing Education Department at the University of Montpellier, Mr. Marc Herzlich, Deputy Director of the Faculty of Science, teachers and graduates.

Women and men who have taken up the challenge of envisaging new personal and professional prospects, by returning to training, considering a career more in line with their aspirations. A class of around fifty trainees from Montpellier (with a day group and an evening group), Nîmes, Béziers and Piémont d'Hérault (Ganges and Lodève). They have reconciled professional life, family life and diploma preparation, overcoming difficulties and doubts, persevering and working hard to achieve their goals.

As part of its responsibility for training jobseekers, the Occitanie Region signs an annual agreement with the University to provide access to the DAEU B (FORPRO SUP). This support from the local authority concerns 85% of the people enrolled at the University over the last 5 years, and has enabled us, through the AMI Modernisation de l'appareil de formation, to fund consultants to help DAEU B teachers continue to digitalize course complements for our learners. The new classes benefit from these dematerialized supports as a complementary teaching tool.

Congratulations to our graduates!
