Ocean Hackathon: creative competition focusing on the sea and digital technology

The contest in a nutshell

Organized by Campus Mondial de la Mer, the Ocean Hackathon is an international competition in which Sète Agglopôle Méditerranée is participating.

Over the course of a weekend (48 hoursnon-stop from Friday, November 5 (5 p.m.) to Sunday, November 7 (7 p.m.) at the Mediterranean Coastal Environment Station (2 rue des Chantiers in Sète), digital data related to the sea will be made available to teams, each of which will have to respond to a challenge set in advance by a project leader.

The aim isto bring about technological innovations in the maritime sector that can be applied to improve an existing situation or give rise to a new concept. At the end of the weekend, a team will be chosen to take part in the international pitch competition.Thirteen of the 132 challenges selectedat international level are registered under the banner of Sète agglopôle méditerranée.
