Ocean Hackathon: A Creative Competition Focused on the Ocean and Digital Technology

The contest in a nutshell

Organized by the Global Ocean Campus, the Ocean Hackathon is an international competition in which Sète Agglopôle Méditerranée is participating.

Over the course of a weekend (48 hoursnon-stop from Friday, November 5 (5:00 p.m.) to Sunday, November 7 (7:00 p.m.) at the Mediterranean Station for Coastal Environment (2 rue des Chantiers in Sète), digital data related to the sea will be made available to teams, each of which will have to respond to a challenge submitted in advance by a project leader.

The goal isto foster technological innovations in the maritime sector that can be applied to improve an existing situation or give rise to a new concept. At the end of the weekend, one team will be selected to participate in the international pitch competition.Thirteen of the 132 challenges selectedat the international level fall under the banner of Sète Agglopôle Méditerranée.
