Discrimination in Hiring

As part of Anti-Racism and Anti-Semitism Awareness Week, the SCUIO–IP (Career Services and Counseling Office) and the Campus Life Office at the University of Montpellier are hosting a roundtable discussion titled “ Discrimination in Hiring ,” which will take place on Thursday, March 28, at 5:30 p.m. on the Triolet Campus.

“How can you overcome discrimination during the hiring process when applying for an internship, a work-study program, or your first job?”

What is the current state of employment discrimination in France? What are the consequences of this discrimination for job applicants?
What does the law say?
Who should you contact if you are a victim of discrimination in hiring?
What are employers doing to ensure non-discrimination in the hiring process?
What advice should you follow for your written applications and during job interviews?
