Short Course: Using the Mind Map to improve professional efficiency

This short course focuses on the professional use of digital mind maps.

It is aimed at all employees wishing to become more efficient in organizing their tasks, managing projects, preparing meetings or making decisions.

Target skills

At the end of this training, you will know :

1. Understand the principles of mind mapping and its benefits in the professional world
2. Master the use of a digital mind mapping tool (such as XMind)
3. Structure ideas, projects or content visually, logically and synthetically
4. Gain clarity, productivity and efficiency with digital mind maps

Targeted learning outcomes

• Create clear, ergonomic mind maps adapted to different professional contexts
• Integrate visuals, links and documents into a digital map
• Use maps to steer a meeting, devise a strategy or plan a project
• Share and collaborate effectively via export and online collaboration functions

The program

Module 1: Introduction to mind mapping and getting to grips with the tool (3h30)

• The principles of mind mapping applied to the professional context
• Introducing digital mind map tools
• Getting to grips with software
• Guided creation of a first card (project sheet, meeting plan, etc.).

Module 2: Professional applications and case studies (3h30)

• Optimization techniques (personalization, navigation, shortcuts)
• Business applications: meetings, notes, brainstorming, task management
• Practical workshop: real-life case study based on a professional need 
• Sharing, exporting, presenting and collaborating on mind maps

Assessment and Certification

• Assessment quiz at the end of each module
• Final presentation of a customized digital mind map

Training sessions

This Short Course comprises 7 hours of face-to-face training divided into 2 synchronous half-days. 

The training session takes place on Friday June 20 and 27 from 9am to 1pm.
